Washington Spirit partners with Snickers for 2024 NWSL season

Washington Spirit has forged a dynamic partnership with Snickers, the renowned chocolate brand under the Mars Wrigley umbrella, for the upcoming 2024 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) season.

The Snickers logo will prominently feature as a sleeve sponsor on all Washington Spirit jerseys throughout the entire 2024 NWSL season. Fans can expect to see Snickers branding displayed on in-game signage and advertisements, further solidifying the brand’s presence in the soccer arena. The partnership extends to the digital realm, with Snickers logos and promotions to be showcased across Spirit’s social media and digital platforms.

To kick off this collaboration in style, the Spirit will host a special fan appreciation night in partnership with Snickers on October 20 to commemorate the club’s 2021 NWSL Championship victory.

“Investing in women’s sports is smart business,” commented Kim Stone, CEO of Washington Spirit.

“The Spirit and Snickers will work together to build an innovative and impactful alliance to bring the brand to women’s soccer fans by leveraging opportunities to increase visibility and drive business.”

The official inauguration of this partnership will coincide with the Spirit’s opening fixture of the 2024 NWSL season on March 23, where they will face off against one of the league’s newest additions, Bay FC.

The NWSL is already laying the groundwork for its expansion, with plans underway for a 16th team, including the confirmed addition of a Boston-based franchise set to debut in 2026.

Having been a fixture in the NWSL since its inception in 2012, Washington Spirit boasts partnerships with organisations such as Inova, CareFirst and Matchday, reinforcing its commitment to health and innovation. CVS Health stands as the team’s primary partner, occupying the coveted front-of-shirt sponsorship position.
