The AO Show Podcast Reaches 200th Episode Milestone

The AO Show podcast, launched in December 2018, reaches its 200th episode this week.

Now in its sixth season, the podcast was initially created to offer daily insights during the Australian Open but has since transitioned into a year-round, weekly show following the 2022 Australian Open.

The AO Show has featured big-name players such as Naomi Osaka, Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal, Caroline Wozniacki, and Nick Kyrgios, as well as retired legends Ash Barty, Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, and Lleyton Hewitt. It has also featured high-profile tennis fans Tim Minchin and Adam Hills.

Content includes interviews with tennis players and coaches, expert analysis, and coverage direct from Grand Slam events and major tournaments.

The podcast has broadened its scope with the addition of The Sit-Down, a second weekly episode sharing interviews with key people in tennis including players, coaches, officials, and organizers.

The AO Show is an example of successful fan engagement, with Tennis Australia’s decision to continue episodes beyond the Australian Open contributing to growing audience numbers and heightened fan interest.

The 200th episode of The AO Show will be available on all major podcast platforms on Thursday, 25 April 2024.
