Basketball Australia Launches Ford BALLIN’24 Series in Melbourne In Preparation for Olympics

Basketball Australia, in partnership with Visit Victoria, yesterday announced the Ford BALLIN’24 international series.   

Set to take place att John Cain Arena in Melbourne from July 2-5, the series will feature some of Australia’s leading teams, including the Boomers, Seven Consulting Opals, Rollers, Gliders, and both men’s and women’s 3×3 Gangurrus teams, as they prepare for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics & Paralympics. Australia’s wheelchair basketball teams, the Gliders and Rollers, will also compete against Japan. 

This four-night series will showcase top talent from Australia as they compete against teams from China and Japan. Notable Australian players such as Josh Giddey and Tess Madgen will represent the Boomers and Opals. 

Ford BALLIN’24 will serve as significant preparation for Australian basketballers ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics, while also giving Australian and international fans the opportunity to see high-quality basketball ahead of the Games.
