The Western Australian Government has confirmed the Margaret River Pro will continue to be a part of the World Surfing League (WSL) until at least 2028.   

With the event consistently providing tourism and economic activity throughout the region, the deal was facilitated through Tourism Western Australia. The Margaret River Pro, known for attracting top international surfing talent, plays a crucial role in this initiative by highlighting the unique coastal attractions of Western Australia to a global audience.  

The deal not only guarantees the future of the Margaret River Pro but also highlights Western Australia’s new focus, to become a top-tier location for global sporting events and spectators.
