FIFA, Crypto.com Partner For 2022 World Cup

FIFA has announced cryptocurrency trading platform, Crypto.com as an official sponsor of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The deal will see Crypto.com become the official cryptocurrency sponsor of the tournament, the platform will also receive significant brand exposure in and out of the stadiums.

Crypto.com will be active throughout the tournament, by providing new and existing users with opportunities to attend matches and win exclusive merchandise.

Commenting on the deal, FIFA chief commercial officer, Kay Madati, said: “Crypto.com has already demonstrated a commitment to supporting top-tier teams and leagues, major events and iconic venues across the world, and there is no platform bigger, or with a greater reach and cultural impact, than FIFA’s global platform of football.”

“We are delighted to have a global brand like Crypto.com join us as a sponsor of the exciting and ground-breaking FIFA World Cup in Qatar, ultimately helping to grow our beautiful game on a global scale,” he said.

Crypto.com co-found and CEO, Kris Marszalek, added: “We could not be more excited to sponsor the FIFA World Cup, one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world, and to drive further awareness of Crypto.com globally.”

The crypto currency platform has been making waves in the sporting world recently, with the Australian Football League and Fremantle Dockers both announcing partnerships.

Additionally, Crypto.com boasts a global portfolio, covering the UFC with NFTs, ice hockey, football and a USD$700 million deal to obtain the naming rights for the Los Angeles Lakers’ arena.
