The UFC has announced the launch of an exclusive line of NFTs with  global cryptocurrency platform partner, Crypto.com.

UFC digital collectables such as fight night artwork, unique fighter collections, event posters, avatars and more have been released and are available to purchase on the cryptocurrency platform.

As part of the multi-year NFT licensing agreement, UFC athletes will receive 50% of the revenue generated from NFT sales.

UFC senior vice president of global consumer products, Tracey Bleczinski, said: “NFTs are an exciting expansion of UFC’s strong collectible marketplace and an innovative and authentic way for our passionate fans to stay connected to the UFC brand.”

This release follows on from the partnership which was first announced in July this year, where Crypto.com became the UFC’s first global official fight kit and cryptocurrency platform partner.

Crypto.com chief marketing officer, Steven Kalifowitz, who recently spoke to Ministry of Sport on the rise of cryptocurrency partnerships in global sport, said the growing popularity of NFTs aligns with the growth of the UFC over recent years.

“UFC has been an amazing partner, and we’re excited to expand our relationship while ensuring that the fighters themselves are benefitting directly, an integral part of our commitment to ensuring that crypto is a tool for financial empowerment for all,” Kalifowitz said.

Through the partnership with the UFC, Crypto.com has been showcased to the UFC’s 625 million supporters, 166 million social media followers and 900 million TV households, across 175 countries, with the brand integrated in UFC assets such as pay-per-views, live broadcasts, and the UFC’s social media channels.
