Conor McGregor Tops Forbes Highest Paid Athletes List For 2021

FC fighter, Conor McGregor is Forbes’ highest paid athlete for 2021 thanks in large part to the sale of his Whiskey company, Proper No. Twelve.
According to Forbes, McGregor made US$180 million in the last 12 months, with US$150 million coming from his Whiskey deal with Proximo Spirits.
McGregor’s return to the Octagon in January this year earnt him an estimated US$22 million, despite losing to Dustin Poirier, Forbes reports.
With his new-found wealth, McGregor has floated the idea of buying a football team tweeting his interest in Scotland’s Celtic, or England’s Manchester United, a team whose fans want owners, the Glazer family out.
“I am certainly interested in acquiring a sports team at some stage, McGregor tweeted.

“I feel I could do big things for a club,” McGregor said on Twitter.
