NSW Government Injects $4.4 Million into Community Sports Through Local Sport Grant Program

Community sporting clubs in New South Wales have received a significant financial boost from the New South Wales Government’s Local Sport Grant Program, with a total of $4.4 million distributed among various sporting clubs.

The grants are awarded to encourage greater participation in community sports by funding up to $50,000 for each electorate, giving clubs have access to new equipment, programs and facilities.

This year’s program awarded grants to 579 projects, including the Kurri Kurri Football Club,  Plumpton Braves Baseball Club, Broken Hill Soccer Association, Lismore Old Boys Rugby League Football Club, The Sussex Inlet Golf Club and more.

The grant supports the immediate needs of these clubs, as the New South Wales government looks to enhance community wellbeing through active participation in sports.
