Top A-Leagues Commercial Partnerships: City, Jets And More

After the 2021/22 Isuzu Ute A-League season kicked off on 19 November, here are the latest commercial partnerships from around the Australian competition this week.

Melbourne City Football Club

Melbourne City have announced a new three-year partnership with Origin, who will help the club reduce its carbon footprint.

The partnership will not only provide the club with energy efficient electricity, but also provide club members with exclusive energy offers.

Origin head of retail, Jon Briskin, said: “We are thrilled to be kicking off this partnership with Melbourne City by helping them reduce the carbon footprint at their new facilities with a range of clean energy solutions including solar, battery storage and EV charging stations.”

“We are excited to be partnering with such a large and successful football club with a passionate and loyal supporter base, and we look forward to rewarding the passion and support of the fans with some special energy offers and experiences in the coming seasons,” he said.

Brisbane Roar Football Club

Brisbane Roar have announced a new partnership with Bentley Park College in Cairns, which will become the club’snew Skills Training Centre base.

The partnership aims to ensure children across the entire state have access to the club’s coaching and philosophy.

Brisbane Roar CEO, David Pourre, said: “In partnering with a great school in Bentley Park College, we are ensuring that kids in Cairns and the Far North region have access to our coaching philosophy and methodology, and the opportunity to be identified by Brisbane Roar as a possible future A-League Men’s or Women’s player.”

Adelaide United Football Club

Adelaide United have announced an upgrade to their partnership with Flinders University.

Flinders University will now be featured on the club’s A-League Women’s home, away and third stripe jerseys for the next two years.

The partnership, originally established in 2019, is using this jersey design to encourage the participation of women in sport.

Flinders University vice chancellor, Professor Colin Sterling, said: “This partnership is aligned with Flinders’ values and commitment towards advocating for increased female participation in sporting and educational opportunities.”

Western United Football Club

Western United have partnered with Happsa Group and Foodbank Victoria to help put food on the table for many people in need across the state.

The Goals to Fight Hunger initiative will ensure that $200 will be donated to Foodbank Victoria for every goal the team scores throughout the 2021/22 season.

Western United CEO, Chris Pehlivanis, said: “It’s great to see the Western United family bring two partners together to achieve mutual outcomes.”

“Now the goals we will score on the field will have even more meaning and I’m sure the Goals to Fight Hunger campaign will motivate our players even more,” he said.
