Perth Glory has extended and expanded its existing partnership with Healthway, which will see the LiveLighter logo feature on the front of the Hyundai A-League’s team shorts.
The club has a long-standing relationship with Healthway and LiveLighter, a program which was developed in Western Australia with the aim of encouraging Australian adults to lead healthier lifestyles, make changes to what they eat and drink and to be more active.
As Perth Glory’s principal community partner, LiveLighter will work on a number of other initiatives including healthier food and beverage options at HBF Park throughout the 2019/20 season.
Perth Glory Chief Executive Officer, Tony Pignata, is looking forward to seeing the partnership develop.
“Given our shared commitment to promoting healthy, active lifestyles, LiveLighter has always been a natural fit for our club,” he said.
“We welcome the opportunity to work closely with the program again over the course of what I’m sure will be a very exciting year for both organisations.”
Those sentiments were echoed by Cancer Council WA’s LiveLighter Manager, Kelly Kennington.
“We’re delighted to join forces with Perth Glory, on the back of our new advertising campaign launch last week around the link to weight and cancer, where we called for all sectors to help us build environments that support health,” Ms Kennington said.
“Perth Glory should be applauded for their leadership, as we want Western Australians to associate sport and sporting heroes with healthy behaviours, not junk food advertising which is sadly too prevalent in many other sports.
“We know Glory supporters, particularly parents, will be grateful to Glory for their commitment to increasing the healthy food and beverage options within HBF Park on matchdays.”
