Top Esports Commercial Partnerships: ESL Gaming, Envy Gaming & More

With ESL making multiple announcements in the last week, here are the latest esports commercial partnerships.

ESL Gaming:

ESL Gaming has announced ZOWIE as the official monitor partner of the ESL Pro League Season 15.

The deal will see all competing players use ZOWIE’s 240Hz XL2456K monitors during the season.

Additionally, fans will get access to content featuring pro players sharing their gaming setups and pre-match routines.

Commenting on the deal, ESL Pro League commissioner, Alex Inglot, said: “The ESL Pro League is very pleased to welcome ZOWIE as the official monitor sponsor for Season 15.”

“We’re proud to see the EPL’s partnerships expanding and welcome ZOWIE to the league in their new capacity as an official sponsor.

The announcement comes after ESL Gaming partnered with Qualcomm Technologies to create a new global mobile esports ecosystem, Snapdragon Pro Series.

Envy Gaming:

Envy Gaming have partnered with women-led gaming community the*gameHERs.

The deal will see the pair collaborate on a content series, community building, college initiatives and the potential for co-branded live events.

Commenting on the partnership, Envy Gaming senior vice president of sales and partnerships, Erin Schendle, said: “Gaming and esports have come a long way but still have so far to go in the fair and representative treatment of women.”

“We want to bring a megaphone to the positive things that organisations, brands, and individuals are doing to foster a community of equality and empowerment for all girls and women interested in gaming,” she said.

The announcement comes after Envy revealed a long-term partnership with Razer last week.

ESL Australia:

ESL Australia, local division of ESL Gaming, has announced 5 Gum as their first-ever official gum partner.

The chewing gum brand will support ESL’s League of Legends Circuit Oceania (LCO) competition.

Commenting on the deal, ESL Australia head of sales and marketing, Graeme Du Toit, said: “In bringing a partner like 5 Gum on board, it was important for us to consider what activations we could achieve that feel like a native part of an in-game League of Legends broadcast.”

“With the ‘5 Gum Chew. Focus. Win’, we’ve landed on what we believe is a fun way to showcase the product whilst staying true to the energetic, victorious tone of the brand,” he said.

Mars Wrigley Australia portfolio director of gum and mints, Michelle Gazzola, added: “We’re excited to partner with LCO and ESL.”

“The popularity of Esports has exploded over the last few years to become the fastest growing sport globally.

“This partnership aligns perfectly with our brand values and acts as a great opportunity to build awareness for not only 5 Gum but also offers gamers the benefits of focus through chewing gum,” she said.

The deal will also see 5 gum integrated into key moments of the LCO broadcast, including when in-game objectives dragon and baron are completed.

Echo Esports:

German esports organisation Echo Esports have announced a new official chair partner, Secretlab.

Part of the deal will see Secretlab support players in the World of Warcraft (WoW) ‘Sepulcher of the First Ones’ race to world first.

Commenting on the deal Echo Esport co-CEO, George ‘Rogerbrown’ Georgiadis, said: “Secretlab is a brand partner we’ve been eyeing since we formed Echo Esports — we share a love for gaming while holding ourselves to the highest standards of performance and excellence.”

“We’ve tried out many different chairs in the past, but Secretlab chairs have really helped to eliminate the aching that our players usually get during long raids.

“With the long hours that we’re anticipating at the upcoming Race to World First, Secretlab was the obvious choice for the team,” he said.

Secretlab has joined a wide range of supporters, with esports merchandise company We Are Nations, WoW mods and add-ons platform CurseForge and WoW strategy guide Mythic Trap all supporting the esports organisation.
