Vinik Sports Group (VSG) has officially announced a multi-year strategic partnership with Oak View Group (OVG), aimed at enhancing the fan experience at AMALIE Arena.

This collaboration follows a detailed RFP process that involved several leading concessionaires, with OVG ultimately selected for its innovative food service approach and strong premium hospitality leadership.

Commenting on the organisation’s unwavering commitment to excellence, the CEO of VSG, Steve Griggs, said: “We are always looking for ways to raise the bar when it comes to our fan experience.”

Griggs also elaborated on the long-standing relationship with OVG, asserting confidence in their ability to enhance the food and beverage offerings for hockey games, concerts, and various events.

Commenting on the partnership, president of OVG360, Chris Granger, said: “We are honoured that VSG and the Tampa Bay Lightning have chosen to partner with OVG.”

“VSG is a championship organisation, and we will harness all of our resources and entrepreneurial drive to this relationship,” he said.

The partnership AMALIE Arena becomes the inaugural NHL venue to join the OVG Hospitality family, with the decision being motivated by OVG’s growing reputation for best-in-class food services and their joint commitment to innovation and community impact.

OVG has built a portfolio that includes transformative partnerships with venue owners, teams, and municipalities worldwide, their diverse clientele including Phoenix Suns, Las Vegas Raiders, Penn State University Athletics, and Royal Albert Hall, evidencing their commitment to culinary excellence.

The transition to OVG Hospitality is set to commence immediately, with both organisations collaborating closely to ensure a smooth transfer.

The official contract, commencing on July 1, 2025, will also encompass strategic and operational support from OVG’s luxury London-based catering subsidiary, Rhubarb Hospitality Collection.

This marks the inception of a new and exciting chapter for fan offerings at AMALIE Arena.

Finally, Griggs extended his gratitude to Delaware North for their previous partnership, highlighting their contributions over the years in serving fans at the venue, while noting that many full-time and part-time employees will transition to work with OVG Hospitality, ensuring continuity in service.
