Outlining the network’s corporate vision to advertising partners and media buyers, Managing Director and CEO Rohan Lund emphasised that the core commercial objective remains centered on capturing consumer attention across every major media touchpoint.
“Across television, audio, publishing, and digital, we continue to grow and engage audiences on every platform. “To meet Australians where they are,” Lund said.
The strategic push into 2027 comes on the back of impressive linear and digital ratings metrics. Seven’s flagship news service, 7NEWS, maintained its market leadership with an average audience of 1.394 million viewers, while Sunrise retained its breakfast television dominance with 442,000 viewers. Entertainment formats also posted notable commercial growth, with Farmer Wants A Wife surging 24 per cent year-on-year to average 1.29 million viewers, and My Kitchen Rules drawing its highest premiere audience in seven years at 1.85 million.
Sports broadcasting remained a cornerstone of Seven’s commercial value proposition. Across the season, Seven’s AFL coverage reached 18.5 million viewers, while its domestic cricket broadcasts attracted 16.8 million. The upcoming 2027 calendar will double down on premium sporting rights, featuring the blockbuster Test series against New Zealand, the historic 150th Anniversary Test against England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Super Bowl LXI, and the Supercars Championship, providing advertisers with massive scale and high-engagement environments.
To maximise audience reach and commercial inventory, the newly structured Seven Media Group now unites television and digital platforms alongside Southern Cross Austereo’s (SCA) premier audio brands, including Triple M, Hit, 2DayFM, and LiSTNR. This integrated ecosystem is designed to deliver unified multi-platform campaign packages for corporate sponsors and brand partners.
“Seven Media Group will bring Australians together as a trusted voice in their lives. “When we bring people together, we do it to grow the opportunity for all of us,” Lund stated.
With major new entertainment acquisitions—including the high-profile addition of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! hosted by Ricki-Lee and Jim Jefferies and expanded streaming integration via 7plus, Seven is positioning its 2027 slate to capture increased corporate ad spend and defend its dominant commercial position in the Australian media market.
