Kayo Sports Reveals Live Coverage: “Mega Motorsport Weekend”

Australian sports streaming platform Kayo Sports (a subsidiary of Foxtel) has launched a multi-property broadcast campaign titled the “Mega Motorsport Weekend,” delivering direct-to-consumer coverage across three global motorsport series: the Australian MotoGP finale at Phillip Island, the inaugural round of the 2026 Supercars Finals on the Gold Coast, and the FIA Formula 1 United States Grand Prix from Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.

The programming slate features live studio preview coverage, on-site panel analysis, and ad-break-free session broadcasts. The multi-venue campaign highlights Foxtel and Kayo Sports’ broader strategy to aggregate premium international and domestic motorsport rights—including long-term rights extensions for Formula 1, Supercars, and MotoGP—to drive subscriber acquisition and engagement across high-density racing windows.

Executive Perspective and Rights Portfolio Alignment

Emphasising the network’s plans of combining live broadcast feeds with original shoulder programming to increase viewership duration, managing director of Fox Sports, Steve Crawley, said: “Motorsport fans want to see every big moment wherever the action is, and this weekend will deliver plenty of them.”

“Our job is to give fans more than the result.

“We’re bringing them the stories, the insight and the coverage that bring the whole weekend to life,” Crawley said.

Operational and Editorial Content Architecture

Kayo Sports’ broadcast schedule spans dedicated news reporting, preview shows, and live track feeds:

  • Supercars Championship Finals Launch: The platform will originate live broadcasts of MotorRacing 360 from the streets of Surfers Paradise for the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500—the opening round of the inaugural 2026 Supercars Finals system. The 10-driver elimination format sees top seed Matt Payne alongside Chaz Mostert, debuting the Toyota GR Supra platform. The weekend concludes with three championship contenders eliminated prior to the Sandown 500.
  • Phillip Island MotoGP Farewell: Kayo Sports is providing dedicated on-site coverage for MotoGP’s final running at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit before the event transitions to Adelaide starting in 2027. Coverage includes the MotoGP Preview Show and MotoGP Paddock Show, featuring commentary from host Chris Stubbs, former premier class rider Chris Vermeulen, and Damian Cudlin. The broadcast features farewell appearances from veteran Australian rider Jack Miller alongside Moto2 graduate Senna Agius.
  • Formula 1 United States Grand Prix: Every session of the United States Grand Prix from Circuit of the Americas will be broadcast live, integrated alongside dedicated Sky Sports F1 feed commentary and analysis.
