Tennis Victoria has officially announced a revamped format for the 2026 Tennis Victoria Premier League, headlined by the inclusion of marquee national talent and a groundbreaking technology partnership with Swedish sports tech firm PlayReplay.

The restructured league will feature top-tier Australian players, including Grand Slam champions and Davis Cup stars, competing alongside the state’s emerging elite. In a major commercial move, PlayReplay has signed on as the presenting partner of the league, introducing line-calling and performance analytics technology across all primary competition venues to elevate the player and spectator experience.

The partnership represents a critical step forward for Tennis Victoria as it aims to bridge the gap between grassroots club tennis and the professional tour. Under the agreement, PlayReplay’s tracking systems will provide real-time line-calling accuracy, data insights, and automated highlight generation across the multi-week season, significantly boosting the commercial appeal and broadcast value of the league.

Key stakeholders have hailed the announcement as a milestone for domestic sports administration and elite player development.

“The inclusion of our top Australian players alongside PlayReplay’s cutting-edge technology will elevate the Tennis Victoria Premier League to unprecedented heights.

“This partnership not only enhances the integrity and quality of the competition, but it also creates a world-class platform for our local athletes to showcase their capabilities against elite international standards,” said Tennis Victoria Chief Executive Officer Kim Kachel.

PlayReplay executives expressed equal enthusiasm regarding their commercial expansion into the Australian sports market.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Tennis Victoria to bring our tracking and line-calling innovation to one of the most vibrant tennis regions in the world.

“Our technology is designed to make high-level officiating accessible and to deliver unprecedented data insights for players and fans alike,” stated PlayReplay Chief Executive Officer Hans Larsson.

The revamped league is scheduled to commence next month, offering substantial prize money and valuable ranking points across Victorian clubs.
