In a significant move aimed at enhancing fan engagement and driving business growth, the Seattle Storm has announced a multi-year partnership with KAGR (Kraft Analytics Group).

This collaboration seeks to innovate the fan experience by integrating data, analytics, and technology across the team’s operations.

Through this partnership, the Storm will become the first team in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) to utilise KAGR’s Software as a Service (SaaS) data warehouse and analytics platform.

Commenting on the partnership, chief operating officer of the Seattle Storm, Rohre Titcomb, said: “We are proud to team up with industry experts KAGR to drive innovation in women’s sports.”

“Our fans are at the centre of everything we do, and we’re always exploring new ways to elevate their experience with the Storm.

“Partnering with KAGR empowers us to harness data in more meaningful ways—helping us understand our fans on a deeper level and deliver more personalised, impactful interactions across the Storm community,” Titcomb said.

CEO of KAGR, Jessica Gelman, added: “The Seattle Storm is one of the most progressive organizations in the WNBA and across all of women’s professional sports…”

“The investments they continue to make as an independently owned WNBA team are impressive,” she said.

This strategic integration is set to unlock opportunities for more targeted and personalised interactions with fans, allowing the team to refine their marketing efforts and enhance the overall experience.

KAGR’s involvement will go beyond merely providing technology; the organisation will conduct an in-depth analysis to identify new methods for the Storm to engage its rapidly expanding fanbase.

By utilising a blend of data-driven consumer insights and a comprehensive overview of market trends, KAGR aims to deliver analysis for action.

This initiative will facilitate timely communication with fans, ensuring that the Storm’s outreach resonates effectively.

This partnership marks a notable milestone, as the Seattle Storm becomes the first WNBA team to leverage KAGR’s SaaS data and analytics platform, following the Minnesota Lynx, who are already benefitting from KAGR’s strategic consulting services.
