North Melbourne Football Club has signed a multi-year, Tasmanian-based partnership with Elders that will further strengthen the club’s relationship with the state and provide a number of benefits for rural communities.

As the official rural partner, until at least the end of 2021, Elders will partner with the AFL club to deliver on a range of regional partnership initiatives.

North GM commercial and strategy, Nick Haslam, said the club is absolutely thrilled to have Elders join the North family.

“We are elated to work with a trusted and experienced business such as Elders to support and grow our involvement with the broader community of regional Tasmania,” Haslam said.

“This partnership showcases our commitment to Tasmania; a commitment we are extremely proud of.”

The partnership will see Elders and North Melbourne host a number of key events in rural areas including player, coach and past player visits to the north and south of Tasmania.

“We are proud to align ourselves with a club like North Melbourne, which has strong values and a great sense of community,” Elders state manager, James Cornish, said.

As part of the collaboration, North and Elders will work on initiatives to provide benefits to residents in Tasmania, as well as having a strong presence at match days at Blundstone Arena.

“Connecting with our rural communities is extremely important to us and we are excited for the opportunity to provide them access to an AFL team, which they may not usually receive,” Mr Cornish said.
