In a significant move to enhance fan engagement, Kevin Martinez, the president of business operations for the Seattle Mariners, has unveiled the new ROOT SPORTS Stream app.

This direct-to-consumer streaming platform aims to provide sports enthusiasts in the Northwest with unprecedented access to all ROOT SPORTS programming, including exclusive Mariners games and related content, as well as the app coming without blackouts and does not require a cable or satellite subscription.

For fans who already have ROOT SPORTS through participating cable, satellite, or streaming providers, authentication into the ROOT SPORTS Stream app will allow them to access the available content at no additional cost.

Commenting on the app, Martinez, said: “Our goal is to connect fans to Mariners baseball in as many ways as possible. The new ROOT SPORTS Stream app is an excellent complement to the existing, valuable partnerships ROOT SPORTS has with TV providers to bring Mariners baseball to all fans in the Pacific Northwest.”

Vice president of affiliate & RSN operations at ROOT SPORTS, Sabrina Taylor, added: “We know fans are eagerly anticipating Mariners Opening Day, and we are thrilled to offer them another way to access ROOT SPORTS.”

The ROOT SPORTS Stream app enables live viewing of Mariners baseball, along with all ROOT SPORTS programming, with it being accessible to fans residing within the Mariners’ television territory, as defined by Major League Baseball, which includes Washington, Oregon, Montana, Alaska, and parts of Idaho.

ROOT SPORTS Stream can be accessed via web browser at RootSportsStream.com, and is also available on mobile and tablet devices, as well as connected TV platforms including iOS, Android, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku.
