Inaugural Wyndham Health Festival set for Ironbark Fields

Western United is set to host the inaugural Wyndham Health Festival, a significant initiative spearheaded by the Wyndham Health Foundation that elevates the importance of community health and wellbeing.

Scheduled to take place at Ironbark Fields, the Wyndham Health Festival transcends typical events; it embodies a movement aimed at fostering enhanced health, stronger community ties, and promoting early detection measures that can save lives.

This year’s festival has set an ambitious goal of raising $85,000 to acquire essential lung function testing equipment for Werribee Mercy Hospital.

This funding represents a crucial advancement coinciding with the launch of the National Lung Cancer Screening Program.

Early detection remains one of the most effective strategies in combating lung cancer, and this equipment is vital in ensuring our local community has access to necessary testing and screening, ultimately leading to improved health outcomes.

A Day to Learn, Move and Connect

Taking place at Ironbark Fields, a venue designed for fostering community engagement, the Wyndham Health Festival will gather leading health experts and local organisations to provide diverse, hands-on experiences aimed at empowering attendees in their health journeys.

The festival will feature:

  • Free health screenings
  • Wellness workshops
  • Group fitness classes
  • A kids’ corner with enjoyable, healthy activities
  • Mindfulness and relaxation areas
  • Multicultural health resources
  • Expert panels and keynote sessions

This vibrant and interactive event caters to a wide audience—whether you seek practical wellness advice, support for your family’s health, or opportunities to connect with local health services.

Health Drives Everything – On and Off the Pitch

However, elite performance begins within the community. Western United is proud to support initiatives such as the Wyndham Health Festival. By advocating for improved health for all, we are fostering a stronger, more cohesive West—and that is a victory for everyone involved.
