Hockey Australia has named board director, Ross Sudano, as its new president, after former president, Mel Woosnam, left her position on the board last month.

Sudano, who is the previous CEO and managing director of The Reject Shop, joined the Hockey Australia board in November 2020, and currently acts as a player and coach of local hockey in Melbourne.

Sudano is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), has a Degree in Economics at the University of Western Australia and currently runs his own business consultancy.

At the board meeting which named Sudano the new president, Hockey Australia also announced Sandra Sully and Pat Hall were reappointed as vice-presidents of the board, as well as Sally Carbon being appointed to the board.

After the changes, the Hockey Australia board of directors now consists of:
