Gold Industry Group Extends Beyond $5 Million Deal To Support Netball In Western Australia

Earlier this year, the Gold Industry Group committed $5 million over three years to become the first Principal Partner of Netball WA, Elite Partner of West Coast Fever, Premier Partner of Shooting Stars and now, the gold mining industry body has furthered its support of netball, joining Suncorp NetSetGO as the Associate Partner in Western Australia.

To celebrate the announcement, the Gold Industry Group is offering all West Australian Suncorp NetSetGO participants the opportunity to attend West Coast Fever’s home game against the NSW Swifts via a two-for-one ticket deal.

Suncorp NetSetGO is Australia’s only introductory netball program, catering for participants aged 5-10 years old, and includes three stages; Net, Set, and GO.

The Program has flourished in Western Australia in recent years and is again tracking to surpass its target of 18,500 participants in 2019, while last year saw WA boast the most boys taking part in the country.

“We are delighted to support the next generation of netballers in communities across WA through Suncorp NetSetGo,” Gold Industry Group Vice Chairperson, Kelly Carter said.

“As the Associate Partner of Suncorp NetSetGo in the State, our commitment will continue to promote the participation of both girls and boys in netball – keeping kids engaged and active through the critical primary school years.”

Netball WA General Manager of Community Netball, Liz Booth, welcomed the Gold Industry Group to the Program.

“We’re extremely excited to have the support of the Gold Industry Group for Suncorp NetSetGO,” Booth said.

“Netball WA and the Gold Industry Group are committed to the sustainability of the sport from the grassroots through to the elite, and this support will ensure participants across the State stay involved with the sport, while also encouraging new participants to get involved with netball.”

The Gold Industry Group also holds the naming rights to the West Australian Netball League.
