The Geelong Cats have confirmed a restructuring of their primary commercial partners, with long-term collaborators Ford, Simonds Homes, and Cotton On all reaffirming and elevating their commitments to the club.
The changes involve key positioning within the club’s sponsorship hierarchy. Ford will now take on the role of the Cats’ Principal Partner, further extending a relationship recognised as one of the longest continuous partnerships in global sport.
Simonds Homes has been elevated to the status of Major Partner and will feature prominently on the back of the Geelong Cats AFL playing guernsey.
Meanwhile, Cotton On will continue its long-standing relationship as the club’s Apparel Partner, marking its second decade of providing both on-field and off-field ranges.
These revisions, according to the club, are a direct reflection of the long-term nature of the relationships and a shared focus on future growth and continued success.
Geelong Cats CEO, Steve Hocking, stated that the support of these established partners continues to be pivotal to the club’s operations.
“Ford, Simonds Homes and Cotton On have each played an important role in our story.”
“Their long-term commitment and belief in our Club have been instrumental in where we are today, and we’re incredibly thankful for their continued support as we take the next step in our growth as an organisation,” Hocking said.
Hocking added that the value of these relationships goes beyond mere commercial transaction, noting that the agreements are based on mutual principles.
“These partnerships are built on shared values and it’s through their support that we’re able to continue unlocking excellence both on and off the field.”
“Our partnerships are about more than logos, they’re relationships that stand the test of time and help shape our future. We’re proud of the loyalty shown by our long-term partners and excited for what lies ahead as we continue to grow together,” he concluded.
The club also stated that the continued stability provided by Ford, Simonds, and Cotton On has created opportunities for commercial expansion, paving the way for two new global brands to join the Geelong Cats family. This is cited as part of the club’s efforts to broaden its reach nationally and internationally.
