Prominent netball sponsor and English insurance company, Vitality, has been announced as the official title sponsor for the 2023 Netball World Cup in South Africa.
The partnership strengthens Vitality’s existing relationship with netball, retaining its’ presence as the dominant commercial partner of the sport at both grassroots, domestic, and international elite levels.
Vitality, a subsidiary of the South-African-based Discovery Group, are focused on inspiring the nation to ‘get more active.’
Commenting on the partnership, Vitality’s Discovery Group CMO, Firoze Bhorat, said: “This year, we aim to lend support not just to the talented athletes of our national team, but also more broadly to promote the most popular sport for women in the country.”
“We believe that through the sport of netball we will be able to inspire South African women and girls to live more active, healthier lives by playing the sport they love,” she said.
World Netball CEO, Clare Briegal added: “We are thrilled to have Vitality on board as the title partner for our pinnacle event once again.”
“This is a special and significant time, not just for the host, South Africa, but also for the African continent, as it will be the first Netball World Cup to be held in Africa,” she said.
The Vitality Netball World Cup 2023 kicks off on 28 July at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
This announcement comes after Netball Australia partnered with Visit Victoria at both international and domestic levels.
