USA Basketball Vs Boomers: Game 2 a sell out
The highly anticipated two-game series between USA Basketball and the Australian Boomer’s at Marvel Stadium in 2019 has limited tickets remaining with the Saturday night game already sold out.
Game one on Thursday 22 August 2019 has limited tickets remaining with game two on Saturday 24 August now officially sold out.
Since going on general sale in late August, over 90,000 tickets have been sold to eager fans who have been unable to watch the USA Basketball Men’s National Team in Australia since they last won gold at the 2001 Goodwill Games in Brisbane.
Basketball Australia Acting CEO, Paul Maley said: “There has been a high demand for tickets to these games from the day they went on sale and the hype surrounding the Boomers continues to grow.
“We cannot wait to welcome USA Basketball to Melbourne in August and showcase to the world games between these two basketball powerhouses.”
The CEO of promoter TEG, Geoff Jones said: “To sell over 90,000 in less than three months talks to the surging popularity of basketball across Asia and the remarkable nature of these two games.
“The Boomers against USA Basketball will be an event experience unlike any hosted before on Australian shores.
“From the world-class talent on the court to the incredible atmosphere off it, fans lucky enough to secure tickets are in for something unforgettable.”
