Europe’s football governing body, UEFA, has announced a partnership with Atos, who will serve as the organisation’s official technology partner.
Under the deal, which runs until 2030, Atos will help UEFA manage, improve and optimise its complex technology landscape and operations with aim of organising and supporting national team competitions, including UEFA EURO, UEFA Nations League Finals, European Qualifiers, UEFA European Under-21 Championship, and the UEFA Futsal EURO.
Atos will also be responsible for managing and securing the hybrid-cloud environment and infrastructure required to host UEFA’s services, applications and data, while also offering its cyber security services.
Commenting on the partnership, UEFA marketing director, Guy-Laurent Epstein, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Atos, who are committing themselves as a key partner of UEFA national men’s team football for the next eight years.”

Atos co-CEO in charge of tech foundations, Nourdine Bihmane, added: “Our teams will leverage their expertise in cloud, cybersecurity, integration, digital sovereignty and digital workplace services to manage and modernize UEFA’s digital backbone to deliver outstanding events for the benefit of all football fans.”
“Today a new great sporting and technological story has begun,” Bihmane said.
Additionally, Atos will provide a state-of-the-art workplace, user support and network solutions, which will optimise UEFA’s IT services and improve the internal user experience.
The announcement comes after UEFA launched a new competition system for women’s football.
