Commenting on the partnership, South Australia’s Minister for Police, Stephen Mullighan, said: “The Adelaide Thunderbirds onboard to help us deliver road safety messaging that positively influences the behaviour of all drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.”

“Education remains a key pillar of our Road Safety Action Plan 2025-27—we look forward to working with the Thunderbirds to empower those starting out behind the wheel to make better informed decisions to keep themselves and other road users safe,” he said.

CEO of Netball SA and the Adelaide Thunderbirds, Bronwyn Klei, added: “We’re proud to be a part of the THINK! Road Safety Partnerships Program and collaborate with the Department of Infrastructure and Transport to share these important messages with our netball community.

“Our Adelaide Thunderbirds are powerful role models across South Australia and beyond, and it’s paramount that we use our voices to spread messages that can ultimately save lives on our state’s roads” Klei said.

Netball SA and DIT overarching objective is to diminish road trauma and preserve lives across South Australia by promoting a more profound comprehension of safe conduct among all individuals utilizing roadways.

Adelaide Thunderbirds player, Georgie Horjus, has been designated as the club’s ambassador for this partnership playing a key role in representing the campaign.

This partnership commits to leverage their influence to enhance road safety education ensuring that players and fans contribute to a safer environment for all road users.
