Tenpin Bowling Australia (TBA) has announced the appointment of Rohan O’Neill as chief executive and Damien Smith as chief operating officer, both commencing their role on May 10.
O’Neill joined TBA in October 2020 as general manager of activity after a 14-year career with Cricket Victoria.
TBA chairman, Jerome Joseph, said that O’Neill showed a “high level of business acumen”, with an “ability to engage” with community members and that he was the standout candidate.
Meanwhile, Smith will step into the newly created role of chief operating officer at TBA after a 29-year career with various retail organisations such as The Reject Shop, Target and Woolworths Group.
Joseph said Smith’s leadership was “disciplined and accountable” and that he will be great support for O’Neill and the TBA board in delivering the TBA strategy.
The appointments come after TBA announced last week a new partnership with the International Bowling Federation (IBF) to license access to the Bowl Patrol and Bowl Abilities programs to other IBF partners.
