Spalding Named Official Game Ball Of NBL

The NBL has announced Spalding as its new official game ball ahead of the 2021/22 season, with the partnership launch including a new campaign for fans.

As part of the partnership, the Spalding Most Iconic NBL Import campaign will be launched inviting fans to vote on who they think is the most iconic import for their club, with the NBL to launch a new range of exclusive Spalding NBL basketballs.

NBL commissioner, Jeremy Loeliger, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Spalding back into the NBL family.”

“Spalding basketballs are embedded in the sport’s culture and are recognised across the globe.

“Not only will this partnership provide our players with the best performance basketball in the world, but it also enables the NBL to align with a brand that lives and breathes basketball.

“Looking back on the NBL’s most iconic imports is the perfect way to launch our new partnership with Spalding.

“Spalding basketballs were used during some of the league’s most famous moments.

“This is the first of many exciting new initiatives involving Spalding, and just the beginning of a long and successful partnership,” he said.

Spalding Australia managing director, Chris Lambert, said the brand is excited to return to the NBL.

“Spalding is thrilled to once again be the official game ball of the NBL,” Lambert said.

“Basketball is thriving in Australia, and we can’t wait to be back on court soon.

“The NBL has done an outstanding job in building the league to be of the highest quality.

“Alongside our partnership with Basketball Australia and the WNBL, we are proud to be the official ball of the two elite leagues across Australia and New Zealand.

“We remain committed to supporting the game of basketball from the grassroots, right up to the elite level.

“We are looking forward to working with the NBL to continue to grow the game across the country,” he said.
