Sky Announce Guild Esports Partnership

Media company, Sky, has announced an exclusive partnership with Guild Esports for the next three years.

Sky will be the team’s official mobile network and wifi partner, and will feature on the Guild jersey for the upcoming season.

Sky is also the official headquarters partner of Guild, with the organisation’s London venue to be named the Sky Guild Gaming Centre.

Guild will hope the partnership with Sky can help drive an improvement on their core focus areas, which are to provide greater opportunities for women in esports, become a successful team and bring esports to Sky customers and the general public.

In the short-term, Guild aims to present an all-female Rocket League team and create more opportunity for female participation in esports at any level.

They also hope to cement the UK as a top-five nation in esports competition.

Commenting on the partnership, Guild director of global partnerships, Rory Moran, said: “We are incredibly proud to welcome Sky to Guild Esports, and be the first major partnership for Sky in esports.”

“Sky is a media, entertainment and connectivity powerhouse that will help drive Guild to the highest levels of performance in competitive esports globally.

“This landmark partnership is built on a shared vision for success and a commitment to driving the esports sector forward, through initiatives powering women in gaming,” he said.

Guild, co-owned by former England footballer, David Beckham, have added the Sky partnership to an existing deal that will be announced in late November.
