ScorePlay Reveals Kevin Durant As New Investor

ScorePlay has announced the closure of its pre-seed investment round with APEX Capital, Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman’s 35Ventures, Mario Götze and another.vc joining the company as the latest investors.

ScorePlay started out as a simple platform for soccer clubs to manage their digital assets, but it quickly evolved into much more. Now, with a rapidly growing user base of over 100 sports organizations worldwide.

For ScorePlay, this investment is a significant milestone on their journey to rapid growth and expansion in the US market, where the athlete-driven funds will continue its growth trajectory.

Commenting on their investment, Apex Captial head of venture capital, Koen Bosma, said: “I’ve known Victorien (CEO) and Xavier (CTO) for a while and have seen the hugely positive impact they’ve had on European sports teams’ content.

“We are super excited by the team and product and proud to play a role in their success,” Bosman said.

ScorePlay co-founder and CEO, Victorien Tixier, added: “We’re so happy to be able to work with such prestigious backers from the industry.”

“As we have recently entered the US, this is a great moment to announce the developing partnership between ScorePlay, APEX and 35V, that will be a huge help as we target huge growth and US expansion in 2023,” he said.
