Royal Randwick Introduces Sydney’s First Trackside Pool During This Year’s Everest Carnival
The Australian Turf Club is tackling the heat head-on during this year’s Everest Carnival with the introduction of Pony Palms, an exciting new trackside destination featuring a pool, private cabanas, a host of high profile DJs and marquee for racegoers.
Marking Sydney’s first trackside pool, the playful paradise will be inspired by the retro-glam golden era of Palm Springs and will be open on all major racedays held at Royal Randwick Racecourse, starting with Colgate Optic White Stakes Day on Saturday, September 21.
Located on the luscious Leger Lawn, the palm-lined oasis will feature a single marquee and will offer guests private cabana upgrades with exclusive service and premium food and beverage packages.
Pony Palms will feature bars by Heineken and Chandon, complemented by an array of food offerings and The Colgate Optic White Smile Studio with complimentary hair and make-up artists to ensure racegoers look their best throughout the day.
Corina Black, ATC Executive General Manager of Commercial, said that she is excited for Pony Palms to represent the social destination of the season during the 2019 Everest Carnival.
“We wanted to create a premium location for the fashion-focused and social-savvy racegoer, who intends to play differently on-course and create an Instagram-worthy experience for all to enjoy.
“With the support of Heineken, Chandon and Colgate, Pony Palms is one of the Australian Turf Club’s new offerings during this year’s Everest Carnival, where we are really focusing on bringing the fun back on track.”
In collaboration with Heineken, a line-up of the nation’s hottest DJ acts will entertain guests including Yolanda Be Cool and Set Mo (DJ Set) featuring Woodes on Colgate Optic White Stakes Day, Jesabel on Moët & Chandon Spring Champion Stakes Day, Natalie Sax on Everest Day, and Sneaky Sound System on The Agency Cup Day plus more to be announced in the coming weeks.
Pony Palms is accessible for General Admission ticket holders across all major racedays at Royal Randwick, with private poolside Cabana upgrade experiences available for purchase.
