The Richmond Football Club has announced the appointment of Dan Cullinan as its new executive general manager – commercial, marking a strategic move to enhance the Club’s commercial operations.

Cullinan transitions from the Melbourne Storm, where he held the position of Chief Commercial Officer.

His extensive background in the sports sector spans a variety of high-profile roles across the globe, including tenures with the New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans, Houston Rockets, Sporting Kansas City, Inverleigh Media Holdings, and the AFL.

Remarking on Cullinan’s selection, Richmond CEO, Shane Dunne, said: “Dan was chosen following a rigorous recruitment process that attracted a high-calibre field of candidates.”

His strong commercial skill in cultivating deep interpersonal relationships will significantly benefit the Club and our partners,” Dunne said.

Expressing his enthusiasm for joining the club, as a lifelong supporter of the Tigers, Cullinan said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Richmond Football Club as Executive General Manager – Commercial. For a club so rich in history, success, and passion, it’s an incredible opportunity.”

“I can’t wait to get started and contribute to the next chapter of the Richmond story and to be part of the Tiger Army,” Cullinan said.

Cullinan’s leadership style is characterised by a hands-on approach, bolstered by the strategic insights gained from his experiences across various sports codes and international markets.

His addition is anticipated to provide substantial value in strengthening the Club’s commercial standing now and into the future.

He is set to commence his role with Richmond on August 11, further solidifying the leadership team as they aim to enhance the Club’s overall brand and commercial strategy.
