Porsche gains naming rights for Singapore Classic on golf’s DP World Tour

German sports car manufacturer Porsche has broadened its global golf presence by securing a naming rights partnership for the Singapore Classic, a key event on the men’s DP World Tour (formerly the European Tour).

Taking place at the Laguna National Golf Resort Club from March 21-24, the tournament will now be known as the Porsche Singapore Classic. As the inaugural event of the tour’s Asia Swing, part of the DP World Tour’s innovative new format, it marks a significant addition to Porsche’s international golf portfolio.

Players have the chance to win a Porsche Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid car by achieving a hole-in-one on the 17th hole during the four-day competition.

This year’s edition follows the return of the DP World Tour to Singapore last season after a nine-year hiatus.

“Porsche has been a cherished partner of the tour for several years and we’re delighted that it has chosen to extend this relationship by partnering with the new look Porsche Singapore Classic,” enthused Keith Pelly, Chief Executive of the DP World Tour.

“This is a fantastic validation of the strength of the DP World Tour and the power of our global platform, which Porsche can utilise to help expand their business across Asia.”

Porsche’s involvement in golf is extensive. The Porsche Golf Cup is an international series featuring amateur Porsche customers and its Porsche Golf Circle community. Porsche will also serve as the official car partner of the European Masters in Crans Montana in 2024.

Ongoing discussions with organisers and the DP World Tour are underway to explore Porsche’s continued participation in the European Open in Hamburg after concluding its title sponsorship of the tournament last year.
