Former CEO of Baskin Robbins Australia, David Jordan, has been appointed as the new independent Director on the Parramatta National Rugby League (PNRL) Board.
Mr Jordan was formally appointed today after an exhaustive selection process that began earlier this year, following Anthony Shiner’s decision to step down from the Board due to his expanding senior executive role in Dubai.
Mr Jordan has held numerous senior leadership roles across a range of major Australian businesses including his most recent role as General Manager at Costa Group.
Parramatta Eels Chairman, Sean McElduff, said that the nominations committee received over fifty applications and that Mr Jordan’s senior management experience and previous Board roles made him an outstanding candidate.
“David will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to our organisation.
“He has a proven track record at a senior management level in driving growth and positive transformations for both privately owned and ASX listed companies.
“This experience will be a major asset to the Club as we execute our strategic plan and deliver on our vision of being a high performing and values based organisation.
“His broad range of skills especially in the areas of marketing, stakeholder management and operational excellence will be a great advantage to the Board and management team and we very much look forward to his contribution in the coming years,” Mr McElduff said.
Mr Jordan expressed his excitement on taking on the new role at an important time in the Club’s history.
“I’m honoured and privileged to join the Club and serve as an Independent Director on the PNRL Board,” he said.
“I’d like to thank the Club for giving me this opportunity and for the confidence that they have clearly expressed to me.
“I know how dedicated and passionate Eels Members and supporters are and I look forward to supporting the Club in delivering the success that we all want to see for them and for our organisation.”
