The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) has announced an extension with long-term partner, IMG, who will continue to receive exclusive media rights and commercial representation for Wimbledon.
IMG has worked with the tournament for over 50 years, where they have helped increase its engagement through international rights management, including a long-term partnership with ESPN.
The pair have also worked together to establish and expand their partnership portfolio, which most recently landed Barclays as the official banking partner of the Wimbledon.
Commenting on the partnership, IMG EVP of media, Rupert Hampel, said: “ We are delighted to be extending our valued, long-standing relationship with the AELTC.”
“Wimbledon continues to be one of the most eagerly anticipated highlights on the global sporting calendar, loved by audiences of all ages around the world.
“Together, we have achieved a tremendous amount and we are excited to leverage our ever-expanding capabilities, expertise and networks across IMG and Endeavor to continue building on this success,” he said.
AELTC commercial and marketing director, Usama Al-Qassab, added: “The long-established partnership between the AELTC and IMG began more than 50 years ago and continues to go from strength to strength.”
“In IMG and the Endeavor group, we have found partners who understand our organisation’s ambition to showcase Wimbledon on a global scale through our media rights and secure quality, long-term commercial opportunities.
“We are delighted to announce today’s extension and look forward to continuing what is one of the longest and fruitful commercial partnerships in sport in the years to come,” Al-Qassab said.
