Golf Australia Signs Four-Year Deal With AgBioEn

Golf Australia has announced a new four-year deal with AgBioEn, which will see the renewable energy company gain exposure at a number of men’s and women’s golf events.

The deal will include global and domestic appearances at a number of golf events for AgBioEn including the men’s and women’s Australian Opens, Vic Open and Queensland Open, on top of access to 400,000 club golfers who connect through the golf handicap system.

Golf Australia chief executive, Stephen Pitt, said he is excited to partner with Australia’s first fully integrated, carbon negative, renewable energy and fuel project.

“We’re excited to have a brand such as AgBioEn align with golf in this country,” Mr Pitt said.

“To have such a progressive and innovative brand investing in Golf Australia is a really positive message on the state of the game in this country.

“One Golf has been our primary focus for the past 12 months and signing a new deal of this magnitude is a true reflection of the commercial benefits of our governance structure,” he said.

AgBioEn’s Australian chief executive, Charles Hunting, said the company is delighted to partner with Golf Australia for the next four years across a large number of events.

“This partnership offers us the opportunity to showcase the AgBioEn brand on the world stage through our sponsorship of Golf Australia and its world-class events.

“AgBioEn will strive to use its partnership to educate Golf Australia’s constituents in the commercial benefits of renewable energy and fuels,” Mr Hunting said.

The first event that will play host to AgBioEn as part of this deal is the men’s Australian Open at the Australian Golf Club from December 5-8.
