Formula E World Championship Broadcast Rights Won By Stan Sport

Stan Sport has announced it has acquired the rights to broadcast all 16 rounds of the FIA Formula E World Championship, which began last weekend in Saudi Arabia.

Throughout the 2022 season, Stan will stream every race ad-free, live and on demand, with the Nine Network to showcase highlights of every race, with the series set to take place at locations including Rome, Monaco, New York, London, Mexico City, Berlin, Vancouver, Jakarta, and Seoul.

Formula E chief media officer, Aarti Dabas, said the broadcast of the season will see Australian motorsport fans provided access to the biggest racing calendar the competition has held thus far through its first eight seasons.

“We are excited to partner with Stan Sport, the new home of Formula E in Australia,” Dabas said.

“Our passionate fans will be able to enjoy all 16 races live and ad-free along with live coverage of our new knock out duels qualifying format.

“Plus, we’re looking forward to introducing new fans to our sport with highlights of every race airing on free-to-air TV with the 9Network.

“Australian motorsport fans can look forward to the thrills and drama of electric racing in the heart of iconic world cities in our biggest race calendar yet,” she said.

Stan director of sport, Ben Kimber, said: “Formula E is an excellent addition to our growing motorsport lineup.”

“With a great variety of racing already on Stan Sport, Formula E showcases the future of the sport in a slick, engaging and seriously fast series our viewers will love,” Kimber said.

The announcement follows recent new from Stan Sport that the broadcaster had secured the rights for the NTT Indycar Series, World Rally Championship (WRC) and the World Endurance Championship (WEC), along with rights outside of the motorsport world such as the World Tennis Championship and UCI Road World Championships.
