Stan Sport have secured the broadcast rights for a number of motorsports competitions with multi-year contracts for the NTT Indycar Series, World Rally Championship (WRC) and the World Endurance Championship (WEC).

The coverage will begin on Stan Sport in 2022 with the WRC on 20 January with the Rallye Monte-Carlo, with 13 events run over three or four days, followed by the Indycar Series beginning on 27 February in Florida, then the 2022 opener for the WEC beginning on 12-13 March in Florida.

The 2022 Indycar Series will feature a 17-race schedule across the US with every minute of every race to be shown exclusively ad-free, live and on-demand on Stan Sport.

Stan acting CEO, Martin Kugeler, said: “This announcement signifies an exciting new chapter as motorsport joins the slate of content on Stan Sport.”

“We are very excited to be hosting some of the most iconic races in the world from Indycar, World Rally Championship and World Endurance Championship.

“We know that Australian Motorsport fans are some of the most passionate and we are excited to bring that passion to life by delivering world-class, ad-free coverage all year round,” Kugeler said.

Stan Sport have also further extended its reach in broadcast across rugby, become the exclusive broadcaster of Japan Rugby League One ahead of the start of the 2022 season on 7 January.

Stan Sport will broadcast two matches ad-free, live and on demand each round throughout the season.
