FCS Partners With World Surf League

The WSL will add yet another partnership to their 2022 repertoire, by welcoming FCS as the league’s ‘Official Surf Hardware’ for the Sydney Surf Pro and Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach.

The fin company will be present at both the Sydney Surf Pro and Ripcurl Pro Bells Beach and will offer products to competitors on the Challenger series and Championship tour to use during competition and free surfing.

FCS will also be featured in event branding both onsite and digitally to broaden the partnerships reach and engagement.

WSL APAC general manager, Andrew Stark, said FCS’ pre-existing roots in surfing’s culture make the brand an ideal partner for both series events.

“FCS is arguably one of the most innovative companies in surfing history,” Stark said.

“They have revolutionised surf travel with the invention of their removable fin systems as well as sky-rocketing surfing performance with their continual research and development into templates, shapes and materials,” he added.

FCS global marketing director, Alex Smith, said the company is excited to partner with the WSL and to have presence at its highly anticipated Bells Beach and Sydney events.

“Since the inception of FCS, many of the world’s best surfers have ridden our system and fins to multiple event wins and world titles, and we look forward to showcasing our team and products out in the water,” Smith said.

WSL Australia’s partnership with FCS comes not long after the league announced several other big-name partnerships to sponsor its upcoming events.

Fans will be able to see this partnership in action in just over a week at the upcoming Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach.

Events will begin on 20 April with Australian surfers, Ryan Callinan and Callum Robson, opening the series.
