F1 Academy has confirmed an extension of its agreement with the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, securing its place on the Canadian Grand Prix calendar through to the end of the 2028 season.
This year marks the first time the all-female series is racing in Montreal, aligning with broader efforts to increase representation and pathways for women in motorsport. The Canadian Grand Prix continues to attract significant fan interest, with last year’s edition drawing a record attendance of 350,000 over the race weekend.
F1 Academy Managing Director Susie Wolff welcomed the long-term agreement. “We are pleased to be racing at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve through to 2028. The response from Canadian fans has been very positive, and we’re grateful for the support of the Canadian Grand Prix in helping promote the future of women in motorsport,” Wolff said.
Sandrine Garneau, Chief Operating Officer of Brand and Strategy at Octane Racing Group, which promotes the Canadian Grand Prix, said the partnership reflects the country’s values of inclusion and representation. “We’re proud to support the next generation of talented female drivers and to continue building a more inclusive future for the sport,” she said.
The agreement highlights Octane Racing Group’s ongoing commitment to fostering gender diversity in motorsport, both on and off the track.
