Channel Ten secures historic deal with UFC

UFC fans are relishing the thought of having every episode of the reality tv show ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ on free-to-air television after signing an agreement with Channel 10.

The historic deal will feature homegrown hero and Australian middleweight champion Robert Whittaker, as coach of one of the teams with The Ultimate Fighter Finale due to conclude on the 1st of December.

The agreement will also include Network Ten showing two UFC events live in December with the first to be UFC Adelaide which is due to take place on the 2nd of December.

UFC Adelaide already has 3 fights lined up and will feature UFC debuts for Jimmy Crute and Kai Kara-France.  Brisbane’s Ben Nguyen will also fight on the card in a highly anticipated flyweight bout against Wilson Reis.

The announcement represents a historic day in the history of MMA in Australia and is sure to bring new eyes to a sport which continues to go from strength to strength in this country.

The Ultimate Fighter 28 will be broadcast on One, Ten’s digital channel at 9:30pm on Thursday nights with the first episode due to take place on August 30th.
