The highly anticipated return of Supercars to Queensland Raceway is one step closer to reality with Century Batteries confirmed as the naming rights partner for the 2025 Ipswich Super 440, scheduled for August 8–10. This landmark event marks Supercars’ first visit to Queensland Raceway, affectionately known as “The Paperclip,” since 2019.
The Ipswich Super 440 will feature as the final event in the Sprint Cup phase of the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship. It brings added significance as the championship leader after this event will secure an automatic entry into the all-new Supercars Finals series, a innovation introduced for the 2025 season.
Adding to the PR spin, reigning Bathurst 1000 winner and 2023 Supercars champion Brodie Kostecki will make his debut for the iconic Dick Johnson Racing team. Kostecki, who joined the Shell Ford squad after a stellar four-year stint at Erebus Motorsport, showcased his new Shell V-Power Racing Team colors at the launch event held at Queensland Raceway.
“This is a fantastic event to look forward to,” Kostecki said at the launch. “The upgrades to the track, combined with the new structure of the championship, will make for an unforgettable race weekend.”
Queensland Raceway is undergoing significant upgrades to prepare for the return of Supercars. The 3.1-kilometer circuit promises to deliver top-tier racing action, with the Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440 set to host Races 23–25 of the championship season.
