The Brisbane Lions have entered into a new two-year agreement with XL Express that sees the national road transport and logistics company announced as the AFL clubs Co-Major partner.
The XL Express logo will feature on the front of the Lions home guernsey and the back of their away and clash guernseys in 2020 and 2021.
XL Express started in Queensland in 1990 and marks the company’s first foray into sponsoring a professional sporting club.
Brisbane Lions CEO, Greg Swann, welcomed XL Express into the Lions family.
“We are so proud that XL Express, a national brand with Queensland roots, wanted to support our team in a Co-Major capacity,” he said.
“This is the first time they have ventured into this space and we are thrilled they would trust us with such a big move.”
“We are excited to see what we can achieve together in 2020 and beyond.”
Managing Director of XL Express, Colin Mallory, echoed Swann’s sentiments.
“We are excited to partner with the Brisbane Lions,” he said.
“We share similar journeys in that we are both based in Queensland and compete on the national stage.
“We look forward to sharing in the successes that this partnership will bring to both of our organisations.”
