The 2019 NHL All-Star Game and Skills Competition will wear Adidas jerseys made of recycled marine plastic materials in partnership with Parley for the Oceans.

The new special edition Adidas ADIZERO Authentic Pro x Parley jerseys will be worn by the NHL’s best players exclusively for the 2019 SAP NHL All-Star Skills™ on Friday, Jan. 25

Parley for the Oceans is an environmental organization that aims to raise awareness of pollution affecting the world’s oceans.

Adidas and Parley will work together to collect plastic debris found in the ocean and repurpose the items to create the NHL All-Star jerseys.

A range of materials made from upcycled marine plastic debris, such as water bottles, are being used to make the fabric of the first-ever NHL jerseys made of recycled materials.

“The NHL  is a recognized leader in addressing major environmental challenges and preserving the roots of our game,” Brian Jennings, NHL Chief Branding Officer and Executive Vice President said.

“This year’s NHL All-Star Game in San Jose is the perfect setting for Adidas to introduce environmentally-conscious jerseys that complement our focus on environmental stewardship.”

For the first time in the All-Star Game, each individual player’s jersey will also feature their own team’s logo and fans can purchase the special edition All-Star jerseys for $200 at adidas.com and NHLShop.com, and in NHL team stores.
