The World Surf League (WSL) has today confirmed the continuation of its partnership with mophie for the 2026 season.

The agreement sees mophie return as the Official Portable Charger of the WSL Asia Pacific (APAC), specifically supporting marquee events in Tahiti, the Gold Coast, and Bells Beach.

The partnership, now entering its fourth year, focuses on ensuring athletes, staff, and fans remain connected in high-stakes environments. As part of the partnership extension, mophie will deploy charging stations across all VIP and athlete areas, including the athlete boats at the high-intensity Tahiti Pro at Teahupo’o.

Commenting on the partnership extension, WSL APAC president, Andrew Stark, said: “WSL looks forward to continuing and expanding our partnership with mophie in 2026.”

“The brand’s passion for surf, coupled with their products’ practical application across our events, makes this partnership such a strong one,” Stark said.

Noting the significance of the 50th-anniversary season, marketing director at mophie ANZ,Brad Bricknell, added: “Each year we’ve grown our commitment to the tour in this region, and with the changes made for 2026, we believe it will be a great year for pro surfing.”

“We’re also proud to power our surf ambassadors… we can’t wait for the Championship Tour to kick off at Bells,” Bricknell said.

The 2026 collaboration features heavy broadcast integration, specifically through the ‘mophie Charger of The Event’ award, which spotlights the most courageous surfer at the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, the Tahiti Pro, and the Bonsoy Gold Coast Pro.

Additionally, the commentary host set at the Gold Coast event will be officially “Powered by mophie,” featuring integrated branding throughout the live stream.
