The Tasmania Football Club has announced the appointment of Ella Scott as head of marketing, another key addition to its growing leadership team as the Devils prepare for entry into the AFL and AFLW.

A proud Tasmanian recently returned from the United Kingdom, Scott brings extensive experience in marketing, content, and consumer engagement across elite sporting environments.

Most recently, she worked with The Football Association (FA) in London, following more than five years with the Richmond Football Club in the AFL.

Commenting on Scott’s appointment, general manager of marketing, public affairs and social impact, Kath McCann, said: “Ella brings a unique combination of AFL industry experience, international code experience, academic insight and deep Tasmanian pride.”

“As the Club continues to build, Ella’s leadership and experience across sport and marketing will play a vital role.

“Her appointment is a great example of a young Tasmanian returning home to be part of this journey. We are thrilled that the Club is attracting individuals of Ella’s calibre,” McCann said.

For Scott, the role represents both a professional and personal homecoming.

“The Devils are already an iconic brand, and the opportunity to return home and be part of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity means so much.”

“As a proud Tasmanian, I’m incredibly excited to help share the Club’s story and connect with our fans both here at home and around the world,” Scott said.

In addition to her professional background, Scott has completed a PhD focused on customer engagement within professional sports teams, giving her a unique perspective on the connection between fans and sporting brands.

In her new role, Scott will oversee the development and delivery of the Tasmania Football Club’s brand, content, and fan engagement strategy, helping to shape how the Devils connect with supporters across the state, the nation, and abroad.

Scott officially commenced in her role today, October 20, 2025.
