The Carlton Football Club, in collaboration with Imaging Associates, has announced the launch of Imaging Associates Carlton, a medical imaging centre situated right at IKON Park, the Club’s home ground.
This facility brings medical imaging services directly to the heart of the Club’s training complex. Beyond enhancing Carlton’s high-performance facilities, it aims to deliver broader health benefits to the community.
Commenting on the launch, Carlton president, Rob Priestley, said: “The inauguration of our new imaging centre represents a remarkable advancement for the Club, providing extensive benefits that go well beyond our players.”
“Being the first AFL Club to feature an imaging centre within our training ground showcases our commitment to making IKON Park one of the most elite high-performance facilities in the country.
“The realization of an on-site world-class medical space has been a vision we’ve held for some time.
“We’re incredibly proud to see it come to life after thorough planning, and our gratitude goes to Imaging Associates for their expertise and partnership in this endeavour,” Priestley mentioned.
Imaging Associates’ clinical director for Carlton and MSK Lead, Dr. Mark Rassie, added: “Our aim is to ensure elite-level imaging is accessible to everyone.”
“We are merging the precision required for elite athletes with the care expected in everyday health services,” Rassie said.
This initiative marks five years of planning, to position IKON Park’s status as one of the premier training facilities in Australia. This development builds upon the $50 million upgrade completed in August 2022.
