Y-3, the long-standing collaboration between adidas and Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto, has announced a partnership with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team.
The Spring/Summer 2026 capsule collection, which first teased audiences during Paris Fashion Week, marks a commercial intersection between high fashion and the pinnacle of motorsport.
The collection is anchored by a Wolf graphic motif, a symbol of speed, instinct, and bravery in Japanese mythology.
This specific artwork holds deep heritage, originally debuting on the iconic adidas F50 Tunit “Beast Pack” football boots during the 2006 World Cup. Its revival serves as an “intergenerational” homage to the Mercedes drivers and Team Principal Toto Wolff.
The global campaign features the team’s 2026 driver pairing:
The collection is set for a on-track endorsement by the entire Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team during the Japanese Grand Prix weekend (27–29 March) at the legendary Suzuka Circuit.
After a dominant 1-2 finish in Shanghai, Mercedes leads the Constructors’ Championship with 98 points.
With the subsequent Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix cancelled due to regional tensions, the Japanese GP serves as the final race before a month-long hiatus, providing a massive global spotlight for the Y-3 collaboration.
The Y-3 x Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team capsule officially arrives on March 19th, 2026, available via adidas.com/y-3 and select global luxury retailers.
