Warriors Celebrate Pasifika Heritage with High-Stakes Round 4 Clash at Go Media Stadium

The One New Zealand Warriors are set to host a dedicated Pasifika Night this Friday, 27 March, at Go Media Stadium, providing a vibrant cultural backdrop for their Round 4 NRL premiership clash against the Wests Tigers.

While the fixture aligns with the NRL’s broader Multicultural Round, the club has opted to specifically honour the deep-rooted Pasifika connections that define its identity, with more than 45 per cent of all Warriors NRL players since 1995 and 60 per cent of its NRLW athletes identifying as having Pacific heritage.

Commenting on the hosting, One New Zealand Warriors CEO, Cameron George, said: “The night will celebrate the Pasifika heritage that sits at the heart of the club across the board.”

Encouraging a repeat of the atmosphere seen during the recent Pacific Championships, George urged supporters to bring their flags, songs and culture to turn this into an amazing celebration adding another dimension to the NRL’s Multicultural Round.

The Pasifika Night event will integrate traditional and contemporary dance, music from local Pasifika artists, and themed visual content into the matchday experience, further strengthening the club’s strategic ties to its diverse Auckland fan base.
