UNIQLO Extends Support for Parasports

UNIQLO has extended their sponsorship of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Wheelchair Tennis Tour for another three years until 2024.

Chairman, President & CEO of Fast Retailing Co., Ltd., Tadashi Yanai, said:  “We are delighted to have the continued honour of being title sponsor of the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour.”

The clothing company will be the offical apparel supplier of the tournament for athletes and staff, as well as offical sponsor for the ITF Wheelchair Tennis Masters and the World Team Cup.

ITF President, David Haggerty, said: “On behalf of the ITF and the entire wheelchair tennis community I would like to thank UNIQLO for their ongoing commitment to the sport.

“UNIQLO continues to invest in wheelchair tennis, supporting players and tournaments around the world.” He continued.

Each year the tour includes a minimum of 160 events in over 40 countries.

UNIQLO started sponsoring the tour in 2014 as a way to inspire young athletes.

“UNIQLO will continue to collaborate with those outstanding athletes and the ITF to help foster the development of para sport.” Yanai continued.

World No. 1 Shingo Kuieda and Paralympic medalist Gordon Reid are the offical brand ambassadors for UNIQLO.

Gordon Reid, said: “I am honoured to compete in the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour each year as a UNIQLO Global Brand Ambassador.

“I will keep doing my very best to emphasise humanity’s possibilities and to inspire young people with disabilities, playing in front of as many people as I can.” He continued.

At the end of the three year deal UNIQLO will celebrate a decade as the tour’s official sponsor.
